Those cute little $1 clear stamps for the holidays arrived... They'll be gone quick- Donna had planned to use them in an upcoming class but I don't think they'll last that long! Unfortunately we cannot get more; the entire run from the company is sold out. They will be offering a new set in November but they will be all-occasion, not holiday so get them while you can!
We also received a beautiful new line from K & Company called " Wild Saffron" - The colors are warm and work beautifully for fall. There were also some of the pieces from their new Ancestry Line including rub-ons and 2 classy albums. If you are looking for a great holiday gift for a scrapbooking friend, check out the new album kit with Paper storage, the Paper Holder with 200 designer papers or the Pretty in Pink Album and tool caddy set.
Terry & I are headed up to Sturbridge, MA this weekend to set up a mini store at the Croptopia Getaway weekend retreat. This is their Scrap Pink weekend so we are looking forward to making a lot of new friends.
With so much happening at The Inspiration Station every week, I wanted a way to keep my friends up to date. Check back often to see what's new!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Our first-ever Scrap Pink event was a success and we raised over $600 for Susan G Komen for the Cure.
Of course the event didn't happen without a bit of drama...
Here's the scoop:
On Friday, we were told by the Fire Department that we would be unable to use the hall as planned... Unfortunately, the former Fire Chief (McQuaid) passed away and they would need the hall for the funeral reception. This did not look good for our event. We had a choice to move out to the Apparatus Bay (garage) or cancel the event. Since it was for charity, I certianly did not want to cancel, so we went into crisis mode and did the best we could. The fire dept brought in tables and chairs from another fire house, moved out all of the trucks and washed down the floor. We went crazy washing chairs and covering tables and got the place looking pretty good.
When our guests arrived they were quite happy with the accomodations and were thrilled with the space they had.
The assistant fire chief came in at 2:00 and said his men would move us into the hall as soon as the funeral was over. Of course by that time, the ladies were happily cropping away and didn't really want to move. So we asked the men to come back at dinner time. They did and we got everyone into the hall and the firemen tore down all of the tables and brought the trucks back in.
I have to say that we were not at all happy on Friday, but things worked out and everyone had a good time. So no harm done. Our croppers had a great day and the family of the fallen fire chief was able to say goodbye in his fire house- so all is well.
So thank you to everyone who made the day a success; including the firemen who had to move all those tables and chairs in and out of the garage!

Wow, the tag sale was a success!
Lots of people came out and got some great deals. Several of our "vendors" sold well over $100 of their stuff and now have store credit to go on a shopping spree- How fun!
If you weren't able to take part this time, don't fret. I'm sure we'll do it again sometime, maybe in the spring, we'll see.

Help! I'm buried in Scrapbook stuff!!!!
As if our darling UPS man, Jay, hasn't been bringing us enough stuff that we do not have room for... Yesterday was the customer drop off day for our Tag Sale on Sunday. We had hoped to keep everything in the class room so we didn't have to deal with the weather and lugging it all outside and then back in at the end of the day - But NO WAY! These ladies have stashes that put me to shame! Two are former store owners, 4 are current or former SU or CTMH consultants, and at least two are former CM consultants, and all of them are admitted shopaholics.
If you are looking for anything unusual or retired you need to be here on Sunday. I just cannot believe how much stuff is here.
Oh, and we got some very nice NEW stuff too! Most of it is still stacked on the counter because we can't fit it any where else, but you are free to buy it off the counter! Maybe if it all sells we won't have to find a home for it!

Morning Classes
Did you know we now have lots of morning classes scheduled? In fact, Donna's very popular card club has a class this coming Monday, September 10th. This class is a great bargain at only $28. You make 4 fabulous cards and you get to take home the featured stamp. This month we are featuring one from Hero Arts. There is still time to sign up- but you must call before Friday afternoon so Donna can prepare enough materials!

So much happening at The Inspiration Station
We are entering into the busiest time of the year here at The Inspiration Station. Our class calendar is bursting at the seams (so is our sales floor!) and we have a bunch of special events lined up.
This weekend, Labor Day weekend, we are having a sale. We will be closed on Monday though, so you need to get in soon. Next Saturday, in addition to two amazing classes that Dawn is teaching, we will begin the registration for the next Bus Tour. The 5 Store Scrapbook Tour will be held on Sunday, October 21st. We are working with the same stores as last trip and even though the bus company tried to raise the price again we were locked in months ago so we have been able to keep the cost to you the same.
The following weekend, Sunday September 16th, we will have our first ever Customer Tag Sale. Many of our customers have signed up to sell off their unused paper crafting products and that means great deals for you on things you might not be able to get elsewhere! The sale begins at 11am and ends at 4pm. If you are one of the people who will be selling at the Tag Sale, your labels are printed and ready for you to pick up.

A new start
Since the kids are back in school and making a fresh start, I thought it would be a good time to make a fresh start with my blog. I have been meaning to do it for a while but just sending out the weekly newsletter and updating the website takes up more time than I have. Thankfully, Dawn has taken over updating the website so that should free up some time for this.
