Cricut Classes

Do you have a Cricut machine that you don't know how to use? Join us Saturday, April 6 at 1:00pm for Cricut with Crystal. In this class you will learn about setting up your machine, using Design Space, and cutting materials including cardstock & vinyl. Class is $28 and space is limited. You will need to bring your Cricut, a cutting mat and your laptop or tablet to access Design Space. If your machine is not wi-fi compatible you will also need your usb cable.

In this class, you will create 5 handmade greetings perfect for all occasions! We will be making two interactive cards including the new Magic Picture Changer! We will be using the latest products from Lawn Fawn including stamps, dies, papers, and inks. Create with Copic (artist-grade) markers, glitters, and other fun supplies. This class is perfect for all levels, even if you have never stamped before. Jenn will share fun tips and tricks throughout the class to help you in your cardmaking!

Spring Fling  April 12, 2019  6pm - 9pm  $35

Supplies students need for each class:

I have come to realize just how many different adhesives there are out there! Some of the things that hold people back in their creating is not having the right tools for what they are trying to create. When a store carries the few adhesives I recommend they do sell a lot of product because I demo it and explain the benefits. They also tend to sell more Lawn Fawn because people had a fun, un-stressful experience creating their cards aka not fighting with their adhesive choices 

Tombow Mono Dots Adhesive Runner: or something comparable, not a tape runner, please carry dots

Quickie Glue Pen: I prefer this one for the detail glittering we do. The Zig 2-way glue pen tends to be too wet, and not detail enough. I will also explain when I like to use this and when I like to use the Lawn Fawn Glue Tube.

3M Mounting Tape: I use this instead of pop dots. I explain in my classes how it is more affordable, its easier to work with (doesn’t stick to scissors, you can rip it, and the backing is easy to peel etc.)

Detail Scissors: I love the Fiskars Micro-Tip Scissors

1/8″ double-sided tape: Lawn Fawn now carries this tape and it is fabulous! A great price point, and made in the USA! This is required for each student to have in order to put together the interactive cards

Lawn Fawn Glue Tube: I will go over the best times to use this adhesive and how it actually makes creating cards easier 

EK Tools Craft Tweezers: People find them helpful with the small pre-stamped/cut pieces

Spring Tag Sale

It's almost that time of year again.  We are getting calls every day with questions about our Spring Tag Sale.  We are extremely limited for available dates this year due to other obligations so we only have one date available - no rain date. This means if you sign up as a vendor, you must understand that if the weather is bad, we will cancel and give you a refund, but we cannot offer another date.  

We will begin registration on April 28th. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please do not call and ask us to hold a spot or "pencil" you in.  We have to be fair to everyone. Because of the limited space and high demand, we are limiting people to ONE spot per person this year.  A spot is ONE 6 foot table (provided by you or rented from us for an additional fee) and the ground below it. Now that we have covered some of the more difficult details here is the rest of the information.

For $12 per space, you can rent space for a 6 foot table (provided by you) in our parking lot to sell off your previously loved crafting supplies and earn CASH to replenish your stash.  Here’s how it works.

•          Space is limited so first-come first-served. Registration begins Saturday, April 28th at 10am.
•          Cost of a space is $12 per space - Limit 1 space per person. A limited number of tables are available for $2 extra and must be requested at registration. Fee is non-refundable unless the event is canceled due to weather. There is no rain date. Cash only.
•          Set up will begin at 9am, please be on time. 
•          You are responsible for pricing, setting up, selling and packing up all your merchandise.
•          You are responsible for all transactions - please be sure to bring adequate change for your cash box and bags for merchandise.
•          You will be located outside in the back parking lot so please plan accordingly.
•          All of your merchandise must be packed up and removed by 3pm.

The Inspiration Station is not responsible for loss or damage to your merchandise. All sales are final.

Create with Copic (artist-grade) markers, Distress Inks, glitters and other fun supplies. – just to name a few of the techniques you will play with. This class is perfect for all levels, even if you have never stamped before. Jenn looks forward to visiting The Inspiration Station,

Supplies need:Tape runner, detail scissors, 3M foam tape (highly recommended over foam dots especially with slider cards), quickie glue pen, acrylic block around 2×3″ in size

Space is limited - preregistration in required - cost is $35 per person

Snow day project

In case you are wondering how I spent my snow day on Tuesday this is what I made; a mini album for all the pictures of my kitties! No this is NOT a class! I purchased the pattern from PaperPhenomenon.com it is called the Picture Perfect Vol 1. Landscape album. 

The paper is from my store though.  The kitty print is a new line from My Mind's Eye called "meow".  The Stickers are from Doodlebug's Kitten Smitten line. I'm just sharing to give you some inspiration!

Welcome to 2017

Happy New Year, Everyone!

I hope that you all had enjoyable holidays and that you were able to make lots of memories.
During the holidays, often time we are so busy with preparations that we don't make the time to work on our own personal projects. Well that is behind us now and I invite you all to take a look at what you have put on the back burner.

Perhaps you have depleted your stash of greeting cards.  Maybe you have neglected printing your photos.  Or maybe you have envelopes of photos sitting around just waiting to get put into albums.

We can help with that.  We offer open crafting time on Sundays and Wednesdays. You can come in and focus on what you need to do to get those projects done without interruption.

Over the New Years weekend, we had a great group of ladies cropping in the classroom who encouraged me to sit down with them and work on some of my own scrapping.  I finished off a number of partial pages and made a fun year in review 2 page layout.



As you can see, we had a busy year! 

This year, I expect to be spending a lot of time helping to plan my oldest son's wedding. He and his fiance have been together for more than five years and I am quite excited that they will finally be tying the knot.

I will also try to get more classes on the schedule, although that is a challenge for me with respect to time.  I am always on the lookout for experienced and qualified instructors, so if you know of anyone please send them in.

In the meantime, I have two projects already prepared.  The Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook mini album is offered on two dates.  The Saturday class is SOLD OUT on Jan 14th, but there are spaces in the Wednesday morning, January 25th class

In honor of Valentine's Day, I will also be continuing the Tim Holtz Dwelling series with this adorable little "Love Shack" on Saturday, Feb 4th.




Coming up in March, Rhea Weigand will return for her Learn to Color with Copic Marker series.  She will be here March 10-11.  Her class always fill up early so if you are interested, don't wait to reserve your seat.
