New EK Stuff

OK I think I finally figured out how to add photos to this blog so here is a layout I created using some of the new EK Success products that we were given at EK Stravaganza. The epoxy title matched perfectly with the Baby Face line of papers.

I Feel Important

Today I was interviewed for a trade magazine, CraftTrends. They are doing an article in the February issue about stickers and how many independant stores are moving away from them. I know the author had interviewed other store owners so who knows how much of the article will include my thoughts but I think it's kinda cool. The guy writing the article was quite nice and we had a great time chatting.

Last year I had a bit part in an article about album merchandising that was in Scrapbook Retailer magazine but it was so small I almost missed it. I'm looking forward to seeing this one. It should be out around CHA (end of January).

Learned something new

Today I learned something New. I was playing around with my HP Image zone and I was able to resize all of my pictures to custom size and print them on a sheet like a contact sheet/index print. Nothing exciting , right? Well, I have been trying to figure our a way to do it so all of the pictures will be 2" x 2" and I finally got it! OK, maybe it's not earth shattering to you but to me- It makes me happy. I plan to use it for a Year in review page a la Ali Edwards. I also liked Jennifer McGuires 2"x 4" version on Designing with 2006. But I think I like the square format better. I'll try both and see what happens.

Off to a good start

Well the first day of our sale went great; we were mobbed and sold tons of stuff! :) Of course, today is is snowing to beat heck with wind and rain and all sorts of nastiness so it will probably dead.

I finally did a scrapbook page last night using some of the old pictures of me & my brother with Santa. I'm not thrilled with it, but it will go in the album I'm doing for my brother. He turned forty this year and I was supposed to make a scrapbook for his birthday (in May) but since I wasn't going to see him I haven't been good about working on it. Now I'm in trouble. He's flying out from Colorado in 3 days and expects me to have it done!!! I better get busy!
